Socially-Distanced TREASURE HUNT Sunday 19th July 2020
Bring the whole family to participate in our FREE Treasure Hunt, followed by a (optional) socially-distanced "bring your own" picnic.
This is a FREE event for Cornwall Karate students of all ages, and their immediate family.
It also happens to be Sensei Andy's birthday on the same day, so don't forget to wish him a happy birthday!
Please note that this session will start and finish at Penlee Park (see below for full address).
Schedule:
1.50pm Meet at Penlee Park in Penzance, at entrance by Penzance Tennis Club.
2.00pm Set off for a fun "treasure hunt" around Penzance town centre (all groups will be provided with a map and a list of clues to follow).
4.00pm Deadline for return to Penlee Park.
4.10pm Optional Picnic (bring your own food and blanket).
4.30pm Announcement of Treasure Hunt winners.
This event is somewhat weather dependent. If the weather is awful, please check with Sensei Kevin that the event will still be going ahead. If it's sunny, don't forget to bring sunscreen, and to wear a suitable hat and clothing.
The group with the most correct answers on the Treasure hunt will win a special prize. In the event of a draw, the group with the highest score, who completed the treasure hunt in the quickest time, will be judged the winner.
IMPORTANT: All under-16's MUST be accompanied by somebody aged over-16 (we actively encourage parents and siblings to attend this event).
NO MIXING OF FAMILIES WILL BE PERMITTED IN TEAMS, I.E. A TEAM MUST CONSIST OF ONLY ONE FAMILY.
FAMILIES STAYING ON FOR A PICNIC MUST ALSO SIT APART (SOCIALLY DISTANCED).
Come wearing casual clothes, no Gi required!
Please arrive slightly early (1.50pm would be ideal), as we will be starting on-time, and not waiting for anybody.
Please note that this is an alcohol-free event.
